Hi, my name is Cari. I live with my lovely husband and three littlies in a little town in North Yorkshire, in England. I love learning how to nourish my family with good food, and with natural healthcare. Recently my quest to understand my husband’s intolerances has led to the discovery of Weston Price’s work and Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions. I have found this book to be revolutionary in how I choose and prepare food for my family. We are now in the rhythm of cooking and eating sourdough bread, making and using broth, and weaning my baby with nutrient dense food (liver and salmon eggs anyone?). I am finding that this way of eating is intuitive and healthful. Life is busy, so on this blog I am challenging myself to cook all the way through Nourishing Traditions. On the way I will convert measurements to UK measurements, note the pitfalls, share where I am able to source the best raw butter, keffir grains and organic liver in Yorkshire or in Britain. On the way I will be exploring traditional cooking and health practices in Britain. I’d love you to join me on my journey!
